The thought of owning a home has always been an “American Dream.” For many, the American dream has unfolded in the recent years due to the housing market meltdown. For others, the “American dream” has arrived and opportunity is knocking on those who are in the market for a home.
The current housing meltdown has created a disaster to many Americans across the nation. Our nation has seen trillions of dollars in equity vanish right before our eyes. While the current economy has set forth many disappointments in the American peoples investment and confidence, there is actually light on the other end of the tunnel.
Approaching my late twenties, I, myself have been dreaming of owning my very own home. My interest in the real estate market came about in 2005-2006 when supply was low and demand was high for real estate. Young professionals, such as myself, all wanted a piece of this “American Dream”. Many of those young professionals jumped on the real estate bandwagon and as a result, pushed the price tag up and were strapped into a real estate price that was way over their heads. The result in demand of real estate boosted the median home prices to an all record high. With the inflated market followed by faulty lending practices, everyone rushed to buy property that was way out of their reach. As the bubble burst, a wave of economic recession occurred throughout all industries leaving many jobless and foreclosing on their homes.
The housing market meltdown somewhat has a positive side created opportunities. With the abundant of bank owned foreclosures, first time homebuyers such as myself, now have the opportunity to buy a house without the hefty 2006 price tag. This Blog was created to educate first time home buyers on various experiences, conditions of the current housing market in certain areas, and information on design, remodel, etc. This is your one stop shop for Life Changing information.
